In 2015, together with a group of architects, urban planners, and other adventurers, we founded an association in Berlin. Our shared idea was simple: Europe is the only continent with such a high-quality of life, infrastructure and built environment. However, much of the European knowledge of how to build a good city is stored in old construction archives and remains largely inaccessible.
Our broader vision is to create a comprehensive online database of the built environment, where anyone can explore the plans and history of individual buildings as well as entire cities. In other words, we aim to give the developing world access to Europe’s unique—but usually hidden—engineering wisdom.
In the meantime, we organize regular meetings and trips to explore the architectural heritage of our cities. We are an international group, we meet frequently, and we have a lot of fun!
